What an EXCITING morning we had here in Russell First Grade!! When we arrived at school today, we discovered that 2 of our 5 crysalis's had opened, and there were 2 beautiful Painted Lady Butterflies in our our net!! By 10:00 this morning, the other 3 had also emerged! They are very happy flying around together. We will be releasing them later this week. We know they will be much happier outside looking for nectar from flowers. For now though, we will take a paper towel, get it wet, and sprinkle a little SUGAR on it for them to eat from.
